CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Each week children open their Bibles, listen to and begin to understand God’s word, and grow in their faith. They’ll learn the Bible in a way that makes sense, helping them to navigate through life and find their place in God’s story.
Child Care is available for parents who attend Worship Service with children ages 3 and younger, and is located in the Children’s Room, just off of the Narthex, across from the Women’s Restroom. There is a changing table, crib, and toys and books for the children.
Preschool and K (ages 4-6) Children learn to recognize that the Bible is God’s Word and that God loves and cares for us. Each easy-to-use lesson will actively engage every child in the Bible story, and lead them to experience God’s love and know Jesus.
First and Second Grades study the Bible section by section. Children develop a deeper understanding of God’s Word. Each week children will begin to really know Jesus, love God and live their faith in practical, tangible ways.
Third and Fourth Grades Children learn Lessons from the Old Testament or New Testament, also will learn how the whole Bible leads to Jesus. Nothing is more important than a child’s relationship with Jesus.
Fifth and Sixth Grades Based on 24 key Bible passages, students discover what the Bible says about popularity, success, failure, friendship, rules and more. Kids develop Bible study skills, grow in Christian maturity and respond by serving Jesus in church and the community.
Seventh and Eighth Grades Students also participate in Worship Services.
CUMC Junior and Senior High students meet downstairs in the Youth Lounge.
